ADJUSTING THE SHOCK ABSORBER The rear shock absorber must be adjusted according to the rider weight and track conditions. Take the normal riding position on the motorcycle with all your riding apparel. The difference between these two measurements constitutes the "SAG" of the motorcycle's rear end. To get the right SAG according to your weight, adjust the shock absorber spring preload. When the adjusting operation is over (according to your weight and riding style), tighten the ringnut.
